Sports
Sports photography can be fun but if you are a sports fan, don’t expect to see or remember much of the overall sporting event you are covering. When shooting special events like these I usually remember specific subjects, but not much of the overall game or competition iteself, but it is still great fun.
For high quality professional sports images you need a fast lens, usually one that is a prime lens (around f/2.8 - f/2.0) and a camera with an autofocus and fast shutter speeds (something around 1/400 to 1/2000 depending on the lens). This is not nessesary but helpful. Images here were usually taken with a Nikon D2x body and a Nikon 80-200mm IS f/2.8 lens shot wide open when possible.
